The CheckOut Review: The Mandalorian at Ben's Bargains

Update [11/15]: The second episode is out! The show airs every Friday through December 27th (8 episodes total).

We just reviewed the first episode of The Mandalorian, the flagship launch title on the new streaming service Disney+ that launched today (free 7-day trial).

Produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian is set 5 years after Return of the Jedi and looks to be a bit of a departure from the Disney-made movie sequels.

Worth a watch but don't expect great dialogue. It's a western in the star wars universe.

More good than bad. Effects seem just-right for the product. ST:Disco is a bit over the top. The digital effects are used only when needed. Hard to judge a whole series based upon on episode, but I'm not tuning it out yet.

I really want to see this. Looks interesting. Will probably wait until Christmas and do a 7 day trial and hopefully be able to see them all for free :-)
