It will NOT tan.. Those require a tanning machine/light/bed/canopy and are UV A/B range.
This is "suppose" to raise your mood from SAD, winter blues by emitting a strong white light in the 6500K range...

Many bulbs in the 5000K to 6500K range "could" probably do the same or better than this.

Id suggest not using before bedtime.
You could also use this for photography for added lighting fill effects.
