I own a whole bunch of these the transfer rate is not true USB 3.0 more like a USB 2.0, you're lucky if you get anything over 45 megabytes per second. I use Kingston Hyper X drives theu give me a true 400 plus megabytes per second. They are also four times the price so you get what you pay for.
i had one of these, the outside metal casing got very hot to the touch which made me wonder of the the design because similar 64GB drives (like the SanDisk) never got that hot.
You're not just paying for looks. I prefer my keychain USB drives to attach to my keyring with metal and not plastic. If you want a metal casing from a reputable mfr, this is actually one of the cheapest drives you can get (at sale price anyway).
I prefer my Transcend drive due to it being smaller and flatter but this is a good alternative and the price is actually cheaper than the Transcend one currently is. All USB drives get hot if you flog them with enough data transfer. I use mine for media and Windows installs primarily, it gets hot, but works just fine.
