I don't need one of these because I flush my plumbing system with white vinegar for 30 minutes each year.

Useless product. Does not prevent scaling.

As Choco said, products like this do not work. You will be wasting your money.

My son just told me yesterday he is going to get one of these, not knowing about BB's deal listed here. He said he researched it and it works. My other son had one at his house (sold it 3 years ago) and I told #1 to give #2 a call to see if it really worked. I will try to post what #2 said when I find out.

Does it improve my audiophile sound quality too? You know, by realigning the ions in the vinyl or something.

I bought a similar one, but more expensive from Costco because I expected to return it after trying it out, but I still have it.

it does work, but not by eliminating minerals. it somehow gets them to clump together, so they are not reactive anymore.

now the shower has less mineral buildup, and to clean it, I just wipe the shower walls with my hand. the minerals don't stick.

I love mine and can't believe it works, but it does. it took 2 or 3 months to notice a difference.

these things are an absolute waste of money. If they worked, they'd be standard equipment in refineries and chemical plants that use lots of water. I've been in many and not seen a one in a reputable company's plant.
