I have two of these in my cars. They will not work unless the Alexa app is running in the background on the phone. So if the OS kills the Alexa app to free up memory, you need to restart the app on the phone, and then reboot the Echo Auto. It’s a clunky setup and annoying/dangerous when trying to fix it after you started driving.
