Checked this one out - but decided on a Honeywell instead due to reliability and coming with C wire adapter/instructions. A lot of utility companies are giving rebates. Mine just gave me $25 (gas co.) and $50 (electric co) to update to a smart thermostat.
I pre-ordered cause a nest is 99 dollars where this is half the price works with Alexa and is easy to control. There are some quirks like Alexa hunches which are strange and other setting but it’s worth it for a thermostat that does everything a nest does and more. The control wire c-wire is for older systems that don’t provide power but most modern ones do.
I've been looking at prices for thermostats and this one seems to be a pretty good price compared to others. The Nest one is $250-$300 depending on where you look. This definitely seems like a much more affordable alternative.
