I have this chainsaw, It works well. Only complaint is the chain bar oil leakage. It’s a very common complaint if you check online. You either need to fix it yourself or empty the reservoir after each use. I have also found that laying it with the fill cap facing up also helps.
^ Tool only though, this would be for someone that already has compatible batteries rather than paying an arm and a leg for a whole Stihl kit with batteries and charger...
Wait, does Stihl have battery powered saws now? I wouldn't assume they're better than Dewalt if they do, and for a compact chainsaw, meaning you aren't cutting that much, cordless has more virtues than gas powered.
Not sure if Stihl makes any battery powered saws... Bun nothing beats a Stihl gasoline saw. Nothing. You can abuse a stihl, leave gasoline in it for months... Starts right up EVERY TIME. Learned my lesson on why one should never buy cheap tools... Bought a poulon yrs ago after a hurricane. Found out the brand name refers to the need to keep "poulon and poulon" on the cord before the engine ever even shows signs of starting up. Crąp brand... Went back to Home Depot after I finally removed the tree... HD was NOT surprised. REALLY?!
