How does this compare to Asus gt-ax11000 anyone? I just bought Asus gt-ax11000. The transmiting rate is much faster than the old Asus 1900 but the range is the same. I read somewhere FCC regulate max of 1W for 2.4ghz so it really doesn't matter i guess.

In some cases (capable router) DD-WRT can increase signal strength beyond 1W. No idea how the two routers compare.

I've did that with Linksys WRT54 20+ years ago and it dies within few months. The TX/RX error rate is beyond usable.
