Exactly... Dorian misinterpreted. OldManBrodie implied these keys may not allow one to use the software indefinitely. However, I've been using one of my keys for a couple of yrs with no issues.
No. Do some research. Limited Activation Keys are almost exclusively sold to big corporations. Those keys get leaked and end up on shady sites for sale. They are NOT legitimate because they break MS’ EULA.
Buy. Or do not buy. It’s up to you.
I own several and have never had an issue in the years they’ve been in use.
They register with Microsoft and download updates - without error. They pass the license authenticity check - and that’s been good enough for me. I would expect a suspect key to be rejected eventually - if not outright - upfront.
You don’t get the box or a manual. Or the media even. You pull the binaries down from Microsoft.
These folks are only selling keys - CHEAP. :)
Microsoft makes it clear that they DO NOT allow keys to be sold separately from their licensed products (with the only exception being the genuine key cards they sell). If all you’re buying is a key code from a seller, then it is clearly not legitimate, and it makes me wonder if I should be using Ben’s Bargains since they tolerate blatantly shady sellers on their site.
