Right now the only way I would buy into 5G is if I know for certain that there is GOOD 5G coverage in my home area, and my intent is to have a phone that can serve as a hotspot backup to my primary home Internet service in a pinch, so I can still get my work done during an outage. I would only buy a 5G phone if I knew I could return it without conditions, because you don't know how well it's going to work on 5G until you have it in hand.
Mintmobile.com sales similar 5G coverage for half the average monthly price of the name brand carriers. The word 'activate' means multi-year contract. Run away!
Never NEVER buy a phone via contract. Never the two concepts should meet. Buy yer phone unlocked, then shop for the best, month to month or prepaid service deal. If you're lucky, your mom or dad already taught you stuff like this. If not, who's your daddy? I'll be your daddy.
