This a a pretty good deal but the retail price is an inflated figure. I was actually researching travel coffee mugs recently and this was the consensus best travel mug according to several independent sites (Wirecutter notably for one).

The going price is $28-$30/each for one or $25/each if you buy two.

Good deal. Just keep in mind the discount isn't as amazing as it may look at first glance.

They do it for the "casual observers" among us - those too preoccupied or apathetic to realize that BB is playing games with the posted "retail" prices. After all, by inflating the MSRP, they serve to create an "inflated" impression of the discounts you're getting thru BB, thereby creating a skewed, positive impression of the BB website as a whole. My opinion...

That said, I do 100% appreciate the "service" BB provides, and have frequented the site for years. It's just that you have to temper this with the knowledge that they are, at their core, a money-making operation. You therefore can't really blame them for carrying out business in a way that profits the brand and the website.
