Any idea how DRM works on downloaded copies? I once thought I didn't need my own library anymore given Netflix, HBO GO, Prime, etc...but more and more I have to rent-to-stream a movie I used to have on a disc sitting on a shelf! Hoping I can load these types of things in a Plex library to immortalize my access?
^ good question and I don't know the answer. The problem with these DRM is that the license can allow you to do one thing now and not something later on. They can change the terms of the DRM and you have very little to say about it short of a mass litigation.
That's why I still purchase some movies in BD or 4K that I consider classics. Even if I watch them 3-4 times in my lifetime it's still worth it.
