Yup. Anyone who has taken their wife and kids to the movies just once knows that this is a low price for the relative amount of entertainment contained within.

That's an excellent point. One trip to a restaurant for me and the wife or half of a night at a football game.
People will pay big bucks for Nostalgia and as an adult, you can finally afford all the things you wanted as a child.

You can go to any non type mom and pop video game store and buy an original playstation or a xbox 360 for under $25 and a stack of games for under $25. Why would you buy this? And what games are on it anyway? Best Buys website didn't have a game list when I looked at i.

The original PS doesn't have HDMI.
Because this one works. Who can forget the RROD for the OG Xboxes.
Do not spend on "nostalgia". Get console emulators for your phone or pc and you'll be able to play almost EVERY VIDEO GAME EVER PUBLISHED OR FROM AN ARCADE, on your own device. Do your research... Start with MAME

I have a RetroPie with countless games for NES, SNES, Genesis, GBA, & Mame. I STILL wound up getting an NES & SNES classic, which are modded of course, because USB controllers and response time on the Pi are never as good as the real deal. Will definitely get a PSX Classic and mod that as well.
Yes - they're building it into the newest Xbox's so that you don't have to buy anything new like this... their goal is to have all games playable forever.
Huh??? What is this trend of re-releasing old consoles at outrages price with a bunch of crappy games? Am I missing something? For gamers with nostalgic connections to these systems, they're fun collectors pieces. Also, they can be modded to play every game, and at that point it's totally worth it.
My NES & SNES classic play every single game on those systems, plus Genesis and GBA. They're HDMI and I have one set up in front of each TV in my house. Yeah, they're worth it.

If I went to a Mom & Pop video game store here in NJ and asked for an original PSX and a stack of games, it would easily be $100. The Classic is worth the $100 because you'll be able to mod it and load it up with games. Not to mention it has HDMI.
