This is the Gen 3 NVMe version (3,600 MB/s) and not the Gen 4 (7,000 MB/s) - WD marketing strategy

I have to disagree @fkersh, it appears to be a really slow 4x4 drive. It's DRAMless. Tom's Hardware says: "Entry-level PCIe 4.0 performance at best ."
All that said, the price is really good. (even though the game sսcks.)

The data sheet at Western Digital for the SN750 NVMe states "PCIe Gen3 8 Gb/s, up to 4 Lanes":
