I purchased one of these a while back without heeding some of the reviewer's warnings about the supplied power adapter being too weak. My experience was similar to those reviews. Some people get it to function fine when they purchase a higher output universal adapter. That, unfortunately, makes it not as good of a deal. Perhaps its cheap enough for you to take a chance though :P
At $20 with a known bum power supply for the "Wavlink" versus $2.62 for some no-name Chinese bus powered USB 3.0 to SATA adapter, I think the $2.62 adapter is cheap enough for me to take a chance on.
Still wondering if anybody has had any luck with the no-name $2.62 Chinese adapter, because if it is good, maybe I'd like to buy a second one for doing drive-to-drive transfers. It takes a long time for shipping...

Thinking of getting some of those instead of this, since I don't need to use 3.5" high powered drives if I'm just going to use an old SSD.
