Ironically you may already have a several years old SLC or MLC 32GB flash drive that has more write cycles left in it than a TLC or QLC bought today.
Some uses, like booting an older motherboard, you may only be able to boot a 32GB or smaller FAT32 filesystem but for general use, I'd get at least double the capacity you'll use so you have more wear leveling going on.
