Totally agree with BarryK. If you're slightly technically savvy, you can get an entire raspberry pie kit with USB SNES controllers, and a SNES looking case for this price. You'll be able to play all the SNES games you want plus a buttload of other games with emulators (NES, Genesis, Gameboy, etc....)
MAME is EXACTLY the same as whatever is being emulated. That's the beauty of it. It's so configurable... But I completely agree with bradleyb1, it does take some tech savvy and a lot or patience. But to the patient goes the spoils.
