I bought this plan. It's not bad but not 100% what I expected. So you run an app on your PC, but you can't bridge this connection to other devices. Also, some popular routers (like TP-link) are not compatible so once again, sharing a VPN link can be a problem. Otherwise, seems to work fine on a couple of PCs, phones etc.
^ They probably allow multiple concurrent connections per account so you would install the app on each device, at least any device with an OS they made an app for.
Yes if you want your router to handle it, the router has to have VPN support. I always prefer getting a router that will take DD-WRT.
In theory you may be able to get devices on the same network to use the VPN if your client with the app has internet connection sharing feature (like windows) and you set the other devices to use it.
