Next variable is whether your lug nuts were torqued to spec or put on by some kid using an impact wrench till it had nothing left to give. This will take off lug nuts at the typical ~80-100 ft-lb spec, but not so much if some rust has accumulated.
Lastly, nothing 1/4" drive, no matter how powerful, is ideal for lug nuts because many 1/4" drive bits will shear in two at, if not before reaching 100 ft-lbs.
You're better off getting at least a 3/8" or better still 1/2" impact wrench instead of a 1/4" impact driver. Not having the extension/adapter for a lug nut socket, also means you lose less torque in use.
Best to get a Ryobi Impact wrench with a 4Ah battery.
like this one w/300ft-lbs
