I bought this last time it was on sale with the solar panel. It's fun to play with but useless for real security. A couple examples: the software is poorly implemented. when you are at home, you have to be on the same wifi network to get push notifications or access the camera settings. This is a problem in a house where you'll need an extender to get good signal by your front door. If you're at the other side of the house and get a notification from the camera, you wont be able to to see anything until you move within range and change your wifi to the extender. And you WILL need an extender if the camera is more than 10 feet from your router. I have mine currently set up in the garage (because it was useless for the front door) and the software still tells me there is poor wifi signal quality even though the wireless router is only 8 feet from it. And when you're away from home and get a push notification from the app, you have to give it permission every time to use mobile data to see the video steam. I want to see what's going on now! this is supposed to be a security camera. Also, it usually take 3-4 tries to get a working video stream in the app. By then, whoever was in front of your camera is long gone. So, good toy, but don't use it for anything important.
