Also consider the Moto G power. You can still get it for $150 from Google Fi, as long as you activate within 30 days. They have a plan that starts at $20/month. As far as I can tell, there is no stipulation on how long it needs to be activated, and how long you keep the service. In theory, you can cancel after the first month, so the phone will only cost ~170.
