16-gauge is perfectly appropriate for small stuff like corded weedwackers, battery chargers and block heaters, and such. And at only 25 feet, voltage drop probably won't be killer even if you use it for a larger load like an electric chipper, though those will strongly recommend thicker cables (14 or 12 gauge), and they're not wrong about it.
Definitely don't chain these together, though. If you're going longer, voltage drop will start to be an issue. If you need longer, go with a thicker gauge.
