Based on my one camera I would avoid. It only catches motion 1/4 of time. It also alerts on motion but never catches it.

You could adjust the range you would like to detect the motion and sensitivity. Before that, I got 5,6 false alarms per hour with nothing happened. Now, it only warns me when people show up.

You would think that would work, but I have my eufy doorbell camera sensitivity set to the lowest setting and it still alerts on all the people walking or the street down the sidewalk 25-35 feet away. I like the whole eufy idea with the local storage and stuff, but their detection algorithms are ****. and the video quality (especially night-time images) is no better than the $40 generic security cameras you can buy on
amazon.
I'll likely go back to my Skybell doorbell because their video quality was great - unfortunately their customer support was less than stellar. trade-offs, i guess.

Sorry for hearing your story. It sounds we are talking about a different product. :) I went into trouble with the first doorbell. I contacted Eufy and they sent me a replacement immediately. I called Eufy when I installed the second one and they helped me via the phone call. The 2K resolution is so impressive than the 1080P and 720P resolution. I showed my colleagues the delivery guys' faces caught by the doorbell and they are Eufy fans now. I also have a 2K pan indoor camera in the living room. From 15 yards away, a face can be caught and easily be recognized. Very satisfied.
