What they fail to mention is that frequently (like in this case), the ink costs more than the printer.

A two pack of ink cartridges will run you $51 on
Amazon
(OEM of course).

I have a Brother MFC490 (color and not just monochrome), that an ink replacement set of 12 carts (3 in each color) costs $12.

Refill your own ink cartridges... Once u get the hang of it, piece of cake. Or get a self feeding ink system and super charge your refilling abilities.
