As a response to the other comment, the printer comes with toner. It comes with a starter toner which yields around 900 pages.
If you buy genuine toner right on , it's 85. We used generic toners with the previous version of this printer, and a single toner would last us roughly a year and a half in the office. Those generic toners are usually 15-20 bucks.
These printers are generally tanks, ours lasted 8 years and was used when we got it. It's a great buy.

I use the Greencycle brand of laser printer toner cartridges from for my Canon all-in-one printer - a two-pack costs less than $20 and they last a long time!
A good deal for those who don't need a color laser printer. The biggest advantage I see with a laser printer compare to a inkjet printer is that the laser printer's printout doesn't bleed like the ones from the inkjet. The ink on my inkjet printout bleeds instantly once the paper is just a little wet.
I own this printer as a companion to a professional color printer and this is a FANTASTIC DEAL! To echo the other comments, it does come with starter toner and there are plenty of solid generic replacement choices that will allow you to print very economically with great quality. It's my daily driver for printing at my home office and I love it. Wifi is solid and setup was a snap.
I'm a retired IT guy...Ditto to the ridiculous toner cartridge cost. If you're foolish enough to pay for brand-name Canon cartridges, then you deserve to spend $100. You can get a 2 pack of toner cartridges on for 17.85. I don't know anything about the printer... whenever I purchase a printer first thing I do is I research the cost of the ink or toner. They sell the printers at a loss and expect you to pay big bucks for ink and toner. You see these $49 printers at another store and it cost more than that to replace the ink. They're giving you the printer.
So if you take one thing away from this, when you see a printer, laser or inkjet on sale, research how much it cost to purchase the ink or toner. Look to see if there is a generic. HP makes wonderful printers but nobody makes generic ink or toner typically. HP printers again are great printers they're too expensive to support. I found the best deals with Epson and Brother. You won't find generic toner or ink in a major retail store. You have to search or Believe it or not, when they have a hot deal on these printers and they come with a ink cartridge, cartridges, depending on the size of the cartridge it is often cheaper to throw away the printer and buy a new one that it is to purchase ink. And on a color printer you absolutely have to have separate colors. If it's a multi color cartridge you will run out of yellow and throw the rest of the ink away to replace the yellow. Color printers have to have separate cartridges, At least four colors. Black Cyan magenta and yellow.
I ordered this and got an email today telling me that the coupon was an error but they would honor it. The shipping will take longer though because of demand. Thanks for the heads up on this deal. Worked out for me!
