Wanted to chime in on this, since I just got one recently-
He's a neat lil robot. cloud connected and autonomous, so you don't need an app for him to run after setup. you can also connect him to and he'll work as an Alexa device too.

Sadly Anki went belly up a few months back so any official software updates won't be coming, but don't worry--theres a big movement working towards custom software and updates for this little guy.

if you've got kids, you may want to get Vector's little brother Cozmo instead. he runs entirely off a phone app and has little games and such the kids can play with him
