Yes, that comes up every time this rebate appears, and yet it still works. As always with rebates YMMV. Also, you will see on our Mobil 1 rebate link in the 2nd paragraph. Good luck!
I went to the dealer to get my oil changed and was charged for synthetic oil but the service was done out of sight, I never saw what they put in my car. I guess I just have to hope they put the right stuff in? I could go to Jiffy Lube but my car isn't common and I don't know that they'll be able to get everything done right. I thought about buying this so at least I know the pure oil is going in. When they come over to the car with a yellow jug filled from a bulk barrel, What was in the barrel? was the jug empty when they started to fill it? Was it clean? The other thing most do wrong is they refill based on manufacturer specs, but that assumes that 100% of the oil is evacuated and it can't be, so they overfill. You got to watch them.
's not a participating retailer but is. Searching “Mobil 1” at brings up baby mobiles until you select "engine oil", then you get 3 kinds of Quaker State oil. Sorry Mobile 1.
Purchased from Wal-Mart on-line for store pick up, Went to the store and after a hassle with rude associate picked up the oil. Submitted the rebate on-line and it was rejected. I called Mobile and asked why, said the type of oil was not on the Wal-Mart order form.. I read off my copy the type of oil that was ordered. The Mobile clerk said "wait a minute". When she came back she stated that the real reason it was rejected was "that I did not include proof that I picked up the Oil from the store". apparently the purchase form was not proof that I picked it up, only that I paid for it. This appears to be a scam for Mobile to get people to purchase their oil at a premium price and then reject as many rebates as possible. I have submitted hundreds of rebates in my 70+ years, with reputable companies, and never had a reject for this reason (proof that I picked up the Item),
The rebate works. Just got approved. Follow the instruction online very closely and make you have the "receipt number", which is the most confusing part.
I've been around a long time and keep my cars just about forever. I'd NEVER go to any quick-change oil place or dealer to change oil or do anything else (except dealer for manufacturer's warranty work).
Worked for me at . Just make sure you save picture as Jpeg and not png which is default for iPhone pics. They can’t view file. Took me three tries but got it approved
Following up on my first post, at the top of this thread, I can confirm that:
1) I did purchase the oil online at , and then submitted my rebate forms/proof of purchase online. (I did not have to provide "proof of pickup.")
2) The process was quick and painless, and I received no grief (insofar as rebate eligibility goes) for having purchased at Walmart.
3) I received the $20.00 Visa Prepaid card via e-mail on 8/3 - roughly 3 weeks after rebate submission. I opted for the electronic Visa card, although I could have had them mail me a traditional card if preferred.
4) I have already used the Visa Prepaid card for online purchases, with no issues and no "fee" being taken out as suggested above.
I maintain that this is a great deal with little risk, and have never had any troubles - now or in the past - claiming these rebates for M1 purchased at Walmart. Fear not!
Bought at First submission was rejected. I couldn't tell why so I called. She said they have been having problems with Walmart but she cleared mine. I got the electronic Visa. I tried to use it at Lowes and they couldn't take it for some reason. They said I would have to go to customer service. I was in a hurry so I used another card. I then uploaded the card to I haven't tried to use it yet.

is included, but it's never on the list; I called and they said it has something to do with licensing.
