Bought these, but will return. They are bright but very inefficient--didn't realize they are 60watts which is just too much for LEDs. And as such they get very warm.
^ I don't believe their lumen rating but if it were true, 6000lm from 60W is 100lm/W, more than the average major brand LED bulb claims for efficiency.
The heat does seem like it could be a problem, especially in summer since these don't have the elaborate heatsink fins or lattice that some other alternatives have, but at $15 a pair, they're more in line with what you'd spend for ~8000lm worth of light from the buck a piece disposable LED bulbs, but without having to install 9+ more fixtures to get there.
On the other hand if you want more uniform lighting across the entire garage then you're better off installing daisy-chained 4' faux-T8-tube style LED fixtures, but a lot more labor and higher cost to do so.
