I have had these before, albeit in the larger size, and ran them through the dishwasher with no problems. But some say they've had water get inside when they do this. The description does say dishwasher safe, but I wouldn't risk it. BTW, when you break these, the pretty much explode. Small shards of glass everywhere. As much as I like the design, I decided in the long run they're not worth the hassle.
