Moviepass is normally $10 per month and allows you to see a new 2D movie every day, including opening night, at all major theater chains (over 4,000 theaters). Fandor is $5 per month.

Some happy customers and some very unhappy customers. I was all in until I read some in depth reviews.

I believe mos of the unhappy customers were from when MoviePass first lowered their price to $10/month, and it took them a significant amount of time to get the Visa card out to the customers. I myself signed up during the $90/yr promo about 2 months ago and have been very happy with it.

Note: The AMC theater I went to refused to let me use the Stubs account because they said AMC told them not to give you credit for those "because you're double-dipping with a free movie." This is bullshit and you can sidestep this **** policy by using the automated ticket consoles instead of going to a live cashier.

I've been a member for three months. Seen 12 films. Star Wars, The Post, The Shape of Water, ... The theater I saw most of these at charges $12.50 so, my $90 paid for $150 worth of entertainment. Went opening night two times, no trouble. It was the holiday season so I would, probably, have gone to at least 8 of those films without the Moviepass. So I got my $90 worth of entertainment. Thanks Ben - great deal.

You're paying for the movie with a Mastercard. AMC makes the money. AMC has no right to judge your form of payment. AMC = go to kiosk instead for tickets and rewards."

Pays for itself if I see one movie a month. I see many more than that. No brainer deal, probably the best deal I've come across. I'm surprised how few people take advantage of this.

yup! It's an extra $5 charge at checkout, but still a great deal.

Yes, this is a great deal but one must question how MoviePass makes money? How can they possibly sustain this pricing model? Will they go under before the end of this year? Am I the only one with these concerns?

They don't make money at this point. They're hoping to eventually get a cut of concession sales and their piloting showed that people eventually went to fewer movies. They are advertising in their emails now to try to get people to go to indie flicks.

I've had it a little over a month and have gone to 3 movies. All movies were at AMC with 2 purchased at the kiosks (just to try it, not because AMC gave me any trouble). The app is a pain since you have to relogin every time.

So if I want to go with my girlfriend, we each need to purchase one and create an account, right? I can't just save up my unused passes to get her a ticket, right?

I've had moviepass for a year. initially it was fantastic but after 6-8 months service changed, they started to limit what movies are avaliable and in which theater.

for example the theater I always go to is showing 11 movies today, but moviepass only allows for one of them. this is NOT even remotely close to what the service was when I bought it last year.

I do not recommend and will not renew for next year.

@dormdude
yes, that is assuming the movie you want to see is avaliable can moviepass. you cannot just go and pick the movie to see.

moviepass started to limit which movies you can see.
